Jalen Brunson scored 47 points as the New York Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 97-92 to move a game away from reaching the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
The Knicks lead the best-of-seven playoff series 3-1 and can wrap up victory at home on Tuesday evening.
Brunson’s 47 points, which he added to with 10 assists, was a franchise record for the Knicks in the playoffs, while OG Anunoby added 16 points and 14 rebounds.
“We just kept fighting and found a way to win,” Brunson told ESPN.
“It was a little ugly, scrappy, but we just kept staying connected and found a way.”
Joel Embiid led the scoring for the 76ers with 27 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, but faded in the second half.
Embiid, who has been dealing with a knee injury recently, scored just one point in the final quarter, while the 76ers managed only three points in the last five minutes.
The home team had started strong and were up by 10 points after one quarter and led 49-47 at half-time.
The third quarter saw the 76ers again open up a 10-point lead, but back-to-back three-pointers from Donte DiVincenzo closed the gap and the Knicks finished the quarter ahead by one.
The Knicks tightened up on defence in the final quarter and finished stronger to take the win.
The winner of the series will play either the Milwaukee Bucks or the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. The Pacers lead the series 2-1.
Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Clippers held off a thrilling late fightback from the Dallas Mavericks to level their series at 2-2.

But the Clippers edged back ahead and managed to close out a nervy 116-111 win.
The fifth game of the series takes place in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
