Euroleague:ASVEL beat CSKA

French champions ASVEL ended CSKA’s perfect run with a 99-87 win over Moscow in Thursday action of Week 4 of the Euroleague. Elsewhere, Unicaja snatched an 86-89 overtime win at Maccabi.

Milan Gurovic and Louis Bullock scored 22 each to power the Spanish side while elsewhere in Group B, Ljubljana took sole possession of second place with a 73-81 win at Zalgiris and Siena lost at home to Panathinaikos 77-69.

In Group C, Robert Guylas scored 23 as the side from the sububs of Lyon hoisted itself into a three-way tie for first with the Red Army team and Virtus Bologna, winners Wednesday over Warsaw. In the group’s other match, Real Madrid pounded Ulker of Istanbul 91-77.

In Group A, Marcelo Nicola scored 19 as Benetton 96-82 while in the battle of cellar-dwellars, Alba Berlin got their first win 87-88 at AEK Athens.
