Six people were taken to hospitals in the Cordoba area - two by helicopter and four by road.
A 25-year old man is in under observation in intensive care having suffered multiple fractures.
One of the six fans has been discharged, but the remainder are under observation or have received surgery for a variety of broken bones.
"The accident happened in a fast right over a crest," Paddon told AUTOSPORT.
"We were flat out over the crest in the morning and the car lifted, but with some more ruts in the road after all the cars had gone through, when we went flat over there this afternoon, the car flew further and landed awkwardly."
Neither Paddon nor co-driver John Kennard were injured in the crash and the car was driven back to service without any mechanical work carried out at the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported the i20 landing and snapping to the left, where the speed carried it off the road and into a group of roadside spectators.
