Sordo and Ogier share Argentina lead
ByAutoSport
Dani Sordo and Sebastien Ogier share the Rally Argentina lead following the opening superspecial on the streets of Cordoba.
The 0.9-mile asphalt stage on Thursday evening was effectively a curtain-raiser for the very different gravel routes that will follow when the event gets under way in earnest on Friday.
Hyundai driver Sordo and Volkswagen's reigning World Rally champion Ogier set equal times of 1m29.0s to share the overnight lead.
They were just a tenth of a second clear of Ott Tanak in his DMACK-shod Ford.
Sordo's Hyundai team-mates Thierry Neuville and Hayden Paddon completed a top five covered by 0.7s.
Ford privateer Lorenzo Bertelli again performed well on a superspecial to take sixth.
Ogier's VW team-mates Andreas Mikkelsen and Jari-Matti Latvala both slipped up - minor errors that cost them a few seconds leaving them down in ninth and 10th.
