The main draw at the Canadian Open starts on Tuesday, August 6, with qualifying getting started on Sunday, August 4. But will Emma Raducanu be going through qualifying at the WTA event in Toronto as she looks to continue her encouraging form ahead of the US Open later this month? And will she play Cincinnati? Raducanu is set to move up to No. 69 in the WTA rankings and become the British No. 2.

Emma Raducanu continued her encouraging summer form with a run to the quarter-finals of the Citi Open in Washington DC.
The former US Open champion won two matches before a tight defeat to Paula Badosa.
Raducanu is set to move up to No. 69 in the world rankings following the tournament and will be the new British No. 2 ahead of Harriet Dart and behind Katie Boulter.
After her promising start to the hard-court summer, where is Raducanu playing next as she builds up to the US Open?
When is Raducanu playing next?
After opting to skip the Paris Olympics, Raducanu is looking to make gains on hard courts this month.
The next tournament on the WTA calendar after the Citi Open is the Canadian Open in Toronto. Raducanu was not ranked high enough to gain direct entry and also did not receive a wild card for the tournament.
Last month it was announced that she was entered into the qualifying draw, however she has withdrawn and will not take part in qualifying.
It would have been the first time Raducanu had played qualifying since her memorable run at the 2021 US Open, when she won as a qualifier.
Qualifying at the Canadian Open starts on Sunday, August 4.
Given there are no other WTA events on the calendar this week, Raducanu might spend the time preparing for the WTA 1000 Cincinnati Open.
But she is again outside the required ranking for direct entry and has not been awarded one of the four main draw wild cards or qualifying wild cards.
Raducanu will likely not have any issues securing a return to the US Open as her current ranking will get her a spot in the main draw.
British No. 3 Dart will play qualifying at the Canadian Open while Boulter is in the main draw.
When does the Canadian Open start?
The main draw at the Canadian Open starts on Tuesday, August 6, a day later than normal due to players travelling from the Paris Olympics.
The final is on Monday, August 12.
The men's ATP 1000 event takes place at the same time in Montreal.

Swiatek, Paolini to miss Canadian Open
The Canadian Open will be missing several of the top WTA players due to the quick turnaround following the Paris Olympics.
World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has pulled out following her bronze medal at the Games.
"I'm sorry to announce that due to overall fatigue caused by the last couple of weeks on the court I need to withdraw from the tournament in Toronto," Swiatek said in a statement.
Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova and world No. 4 Elena Rybakina are also out, along with top-10 trio Jasmine Paolini, Maria Sakkari and Danielle Collins.

The pair are set to contest the men’s final at the Olympics on August 4.
