Britain’s top two female tennis players forged an exciting partnership at this year’s Queen’s Club Championships - Katie Boulter and Emma Raducanu.
They teamed up on court for the first time as the iconic London venue hosted its first women’s singles and doubles tournament in 52 years.
After a last 16 victory over Xinyu Jiang and Fang-Hsien Wu, their popular pairing came to an end in the quarter-finals with a 6–2 7–5 defeat against Erin Routliffe and Lyudmyla Kichenok.
Following a short-lived partnership, Raducanu has revealed it’s one she would like to reignite one day, having evidently enjoyed her doubles stint in one of the main warm-ups for Wimbledon.
"Katie made me feel really comfortable out there over the two matches and I hope we can team up again soon," she said.
"Given the quick turnaround from clay to grass, it’s great to get some extra matchplay on grass. The atmosphere again was unreal."
Raducanu, a US Open winner and former British No. 1, returns to singles action on Thursday, June 12, when she faces Slovakian Rebecca Sramkova in the last 16. It follows her 6–1 6–2 victory over Spain’s Cristina Bucsa on Monday.
With Wimbledon just around the corner, Raducanu will take some confidence from an improved clay-court season. In particular, her performances at the Italian Open were impressive, where she reached the last 16 of the competition for the first time.

Boulter also appeared to enjoy her Queen’s partnership with Raducanu, having previously revealed they had talked about it "a lot of times".
Following Wednesday’s defeat, she said: "Me and Emma played some very good tennis over these two doubles matches and our level was really high.
"The support from the crowd was immense as well, and we’re really grateful that so many people came out to support us."
Britain’s No. 1 will face 5th seed Diana Shnaider in the last 16 of the singles on Thursday, having beaten Ajla Tomljanovic in three sets in her opener on Monday.
