He senses weakness in Seixas, and decides to take advantage. Martinez is the last to be distanced, but the podium isn't lying to us. Evenepoel, Pogacar and Del Toro are the three strongest riders in this race. There's only 2km left of this climb for the riders in front, led by Kuss, with a bit more climbing after that to Alpe d'Huez.

Will this be the one to stick? Del Toro, Evenepoel, Pogacar, Martinez and Skjelmose are all that's left of the yellow jersey group. Seixas now seems to be struggling.

His team-mates' efforts put Skjelmose in difficulty, although the Dane was able to claw his way back, before the Decathlon team leader decides it's time to stretch his legs and reach out for a first stage win. Del Toro has no trouble holding the wheel, though, a cool cucumber if ever there was one.
