Emma Raducanu has admitted she needs to "get my head in the game" ahead of Wimbledon, after a second-round defeat at the Eastbourne Open.
Despite winning the opening set, Britain’s No. 1 was eventually beaten 4-6 6-1 7-6(4) by Australian teenager, Maya Joint.
The former US Open champion forced a tie-break in the deciding set after going 5-2 down, but wasn’t able to complete the comeback as Joint, 19, held her nerve to close out the win.
"I think Maya played a really good match," Raducanu said.
"It was obviously very long, but credit to her. She really stepped up in a lot of big moments there.
"Unfortunately I couldn’t get over the line today, but I can get some rest ahead of next week."
Raducanu now has a few days to prepare for Wimbledon, both physically and mentally.
The iconic grass-court Grand Slam gets underway on Monday, with daily highlights and live coverage of the finals on TNT Sports and discovery+.
"I feel quite tired," Raducanu added. "Just going through some stuff and I need to do my best to get my head in the game ahead of next week.
"Realistically, the turnaround is pretty soon  - it’s only four days away really that Wimbledon starts."
Raducanu was visibly emotional after her opening round win at Eastbourne on Tuesday, revealing she had "received some pretty bad news".
She needed an inspired comeback to beat American Ann Li 6-7(5) 6-3 6-1.
Her physical fitness is also a concern heading to SW19, having suffered problems with her back recently which led to her pulling out of last week's Berlin Open.
"I think I’ve just been managing it," the world No. 39 said.
"I wouldn’t say it’s like I can’t move. I just say like a lot of athletes we all carry kind of something that we’re managing and playing through.
"It’s okay, I can play, and I can still put out some pretty decent tennis in the situation."
It was a bad day for the British players at Eastbourne, with Francesca Jones and Jodie Burrage also being eliminated.
Jones was beaten in two sets by Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska, while Burrage lost to last year’s Wimbledon champion, Barbora Krejcikova.
