The winner of the match will face either Andy Murray or Tomas Berdych in the final.

Fourth set

It seemed Federer was on course for a relatively routine win after creating a few break opportunities on the Raonic serve.
The Canadian survived the onslaught, getting to six games to book his ticket for a potential tie-break - but he didn't even need it as he broke the seven-time champion in the 12th game to force a decider.

Third set

Federer hit top form in the third set, earning a string of break points on Raonic's serve while looking untouchable during his own service games.
The breakthrough came as Raonic served with the scores at 3-3: a blistering forehand cross-court smash gave Federer a break point which he duly took. Two comfortable holds of serve later, the Swiss third seed grabbed a two sets to one lead.

Second set

The second set went on serve until a dramatic moment as Berdych served while trailing 4-5: Federer earned a 0-40 lead but failed to convert any of the set points.
Raonic then saved another set point at advantage, before finding his temporarily-misplaced first serve rhythm to close out the game.
It proved not to matter in the end: the set progressed to a tie break, in which Federer - now serving superbly - took a 6-3 lead before closing it out as Raonic hit a poor backhand into the tramlines.

First set

Raonic, serving supremely well, broke early in the opening set as the Swiss struggled for his rhythm.
And the Canadian then served out to take first blood, despite Federer pushing him to deuce as he served while leading 5-3.
