Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu to play mixed doubles at Wimbledon as Murray targets winning farewell at SW19

Andy Murray will play in both the men's doubles and mixed doubles at his final Wimbledon. The three-time Grand Slam champion was already confirmed for the men's doubles alongside brother Jamie and he has now entered the mixed doubles with fellow Brit Emma Raducanu. Murray pulled out of the singles draw after undergoing an operation on his back.

Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu will form a blockbuster mixed doubles team at Wimbledon.
The British pair have been given a wildcard for the mixed doubles, which starts on Friday, July 5.
It means Murray will have another chance of glory on his Wimbledon farewell, having opted not to play singles following a back operation.
He will play alongside brother Jamie in the men’s doubles, with their first match against Australian pair Rinky Hijikata and John Peers on Thursday, July 4.
It will be the first time Murray and Raducanu have played together.
Murray also played mixed doubles with all-time great Serena Williams at Wimbledon in 2019, reaching the third round.
Speaking about playing doubles on Tuesday, Murray said: “Doubles is a slightly different game in terms of the physicality of it and yeah I am looking forward to that.”
This is set to be Murray’s final appearance at Wimbledon before retiring this year.
He was due to face Tomas Machac in the singles on Tuesday but pulled out of the contest following surgery.
A statement from his team said: "As you can imagine, he is extremely disappointed but has confirmed that he will be playing in the doubles with Jamie and looks forward to competing at Wimbledon for the last time."
Raducanu is competing in the singles draw and faces Elise Mertens in the second round on Wednesday.
The former US Open champion spoke earlier this week about her admiration for Murray.
"I think for me it's just like watching him operate day to day, watching him be absolutely on it with everything.
"Even in practice now, he's so on it to the minute. I think me, when I was a bit younger maybe, showing up 15 minutes before practice to do a few arm curls, swing my hand around and warm up, he's there for an hour and a half doing treatment.
"He just sets really good examples."
