Hurkacz can't stop smiling, saying it's a dream come true to play on Centre Court against Roger Federer.

Must be even more of a dream to beat him, mind.

He heads off court, applauding the crowd and waving - and Hurkacz stands at the net applauding his opponent off. Lovely sportsmanship.

Everyone is on their feet, cheering Federer on as he prepares to serve.

FEDERER 3-6, 6-7(4), 0-5 HURKACZ: A belting forehand from Hurkacz to finish off his service game. Federer has fought valiantly, but the demands of a Grand Slam have proved too much for him.

FEDERER 3-6, 6-7(4), 0-4 HURKACZ: Just brilliant shot-making from Hurkacz, but Federer is not responding in kind. Double break after 20 minutes of this third set.

FEDERER 3-6, 6-7(4), 0-3 HURKACZ: This is tremendous from Hurkacz, who is brimming with confidence, and doesn't allow a biffed shot into the net distract him from the task in hand.

FEDERER 3-6, 6-7(4) HURKACZ: Federer loses his footing en route to the net, enabling Hurkacz to open up a two-point lead, and he nurses it brilliantly to take the breaker 7-4. Looking at the stats, it's the first serve for Hurkacz that has helped him through.

FEDERER 3-6, 6-6 HURKACZ: A lack of accuracy from the Federer forehand assists Hurkacz with the hold, and it's a tie-break to decide the second set.

FEDERER 3-6, 6-5 HURKACZ: The sun is streaming down on Centre Court, people are smiling, and they're cheering on Federer who has guaranteed himself a tie-break at the very least in this second set.

FEDERER 3-6, 5-5 HURKACZ: The highlight of this hold is frankly someone in the crowd taking an excellent catch - that's always good to see. He looks pleased with himself as well.

FEDERER 3-6, 5-4 HURKACZ: Hold to love for Federer.

FEDERER 3-6, 4-4 HURKACZ: Hurkacz is getting that first serve groove back now and Federer isn't getting to it.

FEDERER 3-6, 4-3 HURKACZ: And there's the break back! Hurkacz is playing some great defensive shots and much to the Centre Court crowd's surprise Federer can't claw back the break points.

FEDERER 3-6, 4-2 HURKACZ: Hurkacz isn't letting go of this second set either, despite being that single break down. Such tenacity!

FEDERER 3-6, 4-1 HURKACZ: Such deftness from Federer, who keeps his concentration even when people are shouting nonsense from the stands.

FEDERER 3-6, 3-1 HURKACZ: Hurkacz is trying out the drop shot to varying effect, but he is at least on the board now.

FEDERER 3-6, 3-0 HURKACZ: This is some classic Federer endurance. Hurkacz has break point but the Swiss will not let it go.

FEDERER 3-6, 2-0 HURKACZ: Hurkacz's first serve has fallen apart and Federer pounces.
