In the final set Carreno Busta battled hard, producing some incredible shots as the game went deep, but he was unable to prevent Anderson from reaching the final.
There he will face either Rafa Nadal or Juan Martin del Potro who face off in the other semi-final later on Friday.
Anderson has never beaten either opponent, losing four times to Nadal and six times to Del Potro with defeats to each already this season.
