Henin-Hardenne first experienced health problems prior to the Antwerp tournament in February, withdrawing with respiratory difficulties.

She also withdrew from the Charleston tournament after suffering from low blood sugar - Hypoglycemia -which caused light-headedness.

And was diagnosed with an infection following her loss to Frenchwoman Amelie Mauresmo in the Amelia Island semi-finals.
