When are the star names taking to the court on the first day in the first round of the 2025 French Open on Sunday?
Sunday is the start of the first Roland-Garros since Rafael Nadal confirmed his retirement, and reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz will hope to make it back-to-back victories in Paris.
In the women's draw, Iga Swiatek will hope to make it five titles at Roland-Garros out of the last six years.
22-year-old Spaniard Alcaraz has long been touted as 14-time winner Nadal’s successor on clay surfaces, and will aim to fend off competition from his rival, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, as well as 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, to claim the title for a second consecutive year.
Swiatek, meanwhile, is the overwhelming favourite to take the women’s crown, but may come up against stern competition from America's Coco Gauff, who has won her last three ties with the Pole - each in straight sets - as well as current world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
Ahead of the tournament - live on TNT Sports and discovery+ - here is a run-through of the order of play for the first day of action in Paris.
