Eurosport expert Boris Becker thinks that Alexander Zverev "has a shot" at the French Open title when he takes on Carlos Alcaraz in the final on Sunday. The German fourth seed faces the Spaniard after beating Casper Ruud in four sets in his semi-final, while Alcaraz beat Jannik Sinner in five sets in his last-four tie. This will be Zverev's second major final after he lost in the 2020 US Open.

Eurosport expert Boris Becker believes that Alexander Zverev “has a shot” in Sunday's French Open final against Carlos Alcaraz.
The German faces the in-form Spaniard after coming through Casper Ruud in four sets in his semi-final.
Alcaraz beat Jannik Sinner in a five-set thriller in the other last-four tie on Friday.
Zverev, the fourth seed at Roland-Garros, has had to endure a difficult run to his second final in Paris.
He faced record 14-time champion Rafael Nadal in the opening round, before facing the tricky David Goffin in the second round.
He survived a marathon five-setter against Talon Griekspoor in the third round before another distance encounter with Holger Rune in the last 16, and he made light work of Alex de Minaur, the 11th seed, in the quarter-finals.
Becker, Zverev’s compatriot, believes that the German has a chance to earn his first major title in Paris, and that he has gone the right way to doing it.
“It’s a historic day for Germany because we’ve never had a champion here,” Becker told Eurosport.
“We’ve never had anybody win Roland-Garros, and he’s in the final. He’s got a shot. He’s been to the final before, and it was a lesson learned. He should have beaten [Dominic] Thiem four years ago in the US Open final. He’s a more mature guy now; a more mature player.
“He had a hard draw to come through. He said ‘This is a final for me’ [when he played Nadal in the first round]. He had to raise his level from the first round which was better than in previous years. He should have gone out to Griekspoor, but you’ve got to die once or twice in order to lift the trophy.”
