Carlos Alcaraz hit two scarcely believable winners in his French Open semi-final victory over Jannik Sinner on Friday afternoon.
Alcaraz will go onto face Alexander Zverev or Casper Ruud in Sunday's final after claiming a memorable 2-6 6-3 3-6 6-4 6-3 victory.
Alcaraz slow burned through the clash, but set Paris alight late on.
First, the world No. 3 made a superb run to his right and stretched to hit an incredible forehand winner from the tightest of angles, leaving Sinner with no chance of a return.
Eurosport commentary duo Simon Reed and Miles Maclagan reflected in amazement after the latest in a series of show-stopping shots which will be added to Alcaraz’s career showreel.
“Another point he's stolen, it was the backhand pass just a moment ago,” said Maclagan.
“Look at the position he's in, look at the approach from Sinner, on the line going away!”
Reed then added: “Sinner must've thought that was a winning shot; if not an outright winner, a point winner for sure. What on earth happened there?”
The point moved Alcaraz 40-15 ahead in the seventh game, and would go onto claim the fourth set to take an absorbing match into a fifth-set decider.

Alcaraz was not done there, as he enthralled the crowd inside Philippe-Chatrier once more with another shot early in the fifth which he timed to absolute perfection.
“Now that's not possible; he took that off his shoelaces,” said Reed.
Maclagan broke down the shot in more detail and added: “It's just ridiculous, he doesn't look like he's there and the technique looks a little awkward, he doesn't even look and then flips the left hand.”
After Alcaraz's victory, attention turns to the second semi-final clash between Ruud and Zverev.
