Australia's Nick Kyrgios courted more controversy with an off-colour remark to his opponent Stan Wawrinka in the second round of the Rogers Cup in Montreal on Wednesday.

Kyrgios, 20, who is well known for his outbursts off court and profanity on it, made a jibe at Wawrinka during the second set of their match about the Swiss player's apparent girlfriend.
It was unclear whether Wawrinka, who withdrew with a back injury in the third set while trailing 4-0, heard the jibe, though his coach Magnus Norman criticised the Australian on Twitter afterwards.
Wawrinka used his Twitter account to lament the behaviour of Kyrgios while he said the Australian has "big problems" on the court.
Krygios later tried to defend his comment by claiming Wawrinka had been getting a "bit lippy" during the match.
Kyrgios is being coached by fellow Australian player Lleyton Hewitt ahead of this month's US Open at Flushing Meadows.
Kyrgios’s mother Nill told the Canberra Times her son “wasn’t in a good head space” after he lost to Aleksandr Nedovyesov in the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup against Kazakhstan in Darwin.
Australia recovered to complete a 3-2 win and set up a meeting with Great Britain in the semi-finals, but Kyrgios’ concerns have not gone away.

His former coach Todd Larkham departed before Wimbledon in June. Hewitt will mentor Kyrgios, but will not be his permanent coach.
“He will listen to Lleyton because he knows what he’s talking about, he’s been at the top and been world No1,” Nill Kyrgios is quoted as saying.

“What Nick doesn’t like is when people who haven’t been in that situation give him advice, but he’ll listen to someone like Lleyton.
Krygios is playing doubles in Montreal with Hewitt this week and has not been far from controversy this summer.
He appeared to stop trying in one game against Richard Gasquet during an infamous defeat in the fourth round at Wimbledon last month, risking a huge fine for his behaviour.
