Nick Kyrgios has revealed that he has a "new lease of life" after getting a "miracle" injury boost on his journey back to full fitness.
The Australian star has hardly played in the last three years due to a string of knee and wrist injuries.
He has not been on court this season since losing in the second round of the Miami Open in March.
However, he says that his hopes of a comeback have been raised after being finally able to train consistently.
The news has fueled speculation that the 2022 Wimbledon finalist could be given a wildcard for the 2026 Australian Open, which will be live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
"I don’t want to jinx it, but something in it has gone," Kyrgios told the Australian Associated Press about his injury.
"It has kind of allowed me to put three, four days of training together on court for an hour-and-a-half, two hours and be able to actually recover and then build on that.
"So that’s been really exciting and I haven’t really told anyone. I have a new lease of life on court."

Kyrgios was eliminated from the first round of the 2025 Australian Open by Britain's Jacob Fearnley and subsequently admitted that he doubted he would ever compete in a singles match at the Grand Slam again.
The world No. 652 says that his knee feels a "couple of years younger" ahead of next month's encounter with Sabalenka.
"In the last month, I don’t know what it is," Kyrgios said. "I was with my masseuse and physio last night and something really has changed with my knee.
"It’s not swelling. It’s not feeling bad after a session. I don’t know whether to call it a miracle or anything, but my knee feels like it’s gotten younger by a couple of years."
The 2026 Australian Open gets started in Melbourne on January 18, and runs through until February 1.
