The then-qualifier stunned the world of tennis with her Grand Slam victory in 2021, but is yet to get past the fourth round of such an event in the five seasons since.
Richardson was once Raducanu's youth coach and was brought in to guide her at the 2021 US Open, but was dropped just weeks after her straight-sets victory over Leylah Fernandez in the final.
The 52-year-old from Peterborough helped Raducanu prepare for the clay-court season at the Ferrer Tennis Academy in May, and is now formally her full-time coach.
"[I'm] grateful to have reconnected with someone who has known me for over a decade now and looking forward to building together one iteration at a time," Raducanu said.
Raducanu has not seen competitive action since March, when she was knocked out of Indian Wells by Amanda Anisimova in the third round.
The British No. 1 is set to return to the court in Strasbourg via a wildcard, as her preparations for the French Open - live on TNT Sports and HBO Max - gather pace.

Richardson is a director at the Ferrer Tennis Academy in Spain and has helped fellow Brits Ross Hutchins and Alan Mackin during his coaching career.
Having split from her previous coach Francisco Roig after exiting the Australian Open in January, Raducanu has been suffering from post-viral illness, leading to her absence from four consecutive tournaments.
The 23-year-old travelled to Rome for the Italian Open, but told reporters there that her lingering illness was the reason she would not compete.
She said: "Post-viral, it's quite hard. You feel drained, you feel tired, no energy. It's difficult, and it lingered for quite a while.

"Right now, I wouldn't say I'm 100%. I'm still building my way back. It is difficult to then maintain it.
"The last two months, in the beginning, it was quite difficult. I wasn’t feeling the best physically and I think it had just been lingering for a while.
"Whereas the last three weeks, I think I've really turned a corner and I feel so much better. I feel great on the court."
Raducanu will hope to build her match sharpness at the WTA 500 event Strasbourg, which starts on Sunday, while the French Open commences a week later on May 24.
