Grosjean - who missed the previous round against Croatia through injury - will stay in Lausanne to support his team-mates.
Julien Benneteau will now come into the team, though Arnaud Clement and Nicolas Escude are now expected to play the singles in the tie which takes place from Friday to Sunday.
