"I've played well here in the past but this was just frustrating," said Janes, who played through three rounds of qualifying to reach the main draw two seasons ago.
"I've done everything I can to get my ranking down and I'm annoyed I've wasted a wild card. I should have made more of it.
"I never seemed to able to loosen up and she [Dechy] never gave me a thing. I can't blame the windy conditions. I've known them a lot stronger.
"But I try to convince myself I still enjoy the game and the life. It is difficult to raise your level, though. I am not making any decisions on my future yet until I've played the whole grass court season - which is of course just a few weeks.
"But I'm getting married on July 16 and changing my name. Dominic, my husband-to-be will continue to be supportive. He enjoys tennis and I'd like to carry on doing something I enjoy but I need to think about it."
Janes went to university eight years ago and was out injured for a spell after last year's Wimbledon. Currently ranked 222 in the world, the 27-year-old is ranked the second best woman in British tennis.
