Carlos Alcaraz has been receiving treatment for injuries to his foot and back, which led to him pulling out of the Swiss Indoors in Basel. However, he is due to return at the Paris Masters before making his debut in the ATP Finals. The Spaniard withdrew from last year’s season finale due to an abdominal muscle tear. Alcaraz was last in action at the Shanghai Masters.

Carlos Alcaraz says he will make his return to the court at the Paris Masters.
He was forced to pull out of the Swiss Indoors in Basel due to a foot injury and a fatigue issue in his lower back.
Alcaraz was last in action at the Shanghai Masters - where he was defeated in the fourth round by Grigor Dimitrov.
The world No. 2 made the decision to rest up and receive some treatment in order to return in time for his final two tournaments of the season.
After appearing in the French capital, Alcaraz will make his debut in the ATP Finals in Turin in November.
The Spaniard withdrew from last year’s season finale due to an abdominal muscle tear.
He then had to miss the first major of 2023, the Australian Open, due to a hamstring injury. It is fair to say, though, that Alcaraz bounced back in some style.
In his first tournament of the year, he took victory at the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires.
Another injury issue saw him lose the Rio Open final against Cameron Norrie, but, once again, he responded to his set-back well.
A plethora of trophies followed at Indian Wells, Barcelona and Madrid, before reaching the semi-finals of the French Open.

Yet more silverware was to come in a stunning grass court campaign, which saw him win at Queen’s before taking his first Wimbledon title in an epic final against Novak Djokovic.
He reached the top of the world rankings and went all the way to the semis at the US Open.
So, all in all, not a bad year for Alcaraz and all that came off the back of an injury-hit start to the season.
He now prepares to return to action, fully recovered from his latest set-backs and what an ominous that thought is for his closest competitors.
