Anders Thomsen was left visibly furious after being disqualified from Heat 12 of the FIM Speedway GP of Poland in Gorzow. The decision came after he was pushed off his bike while battling for second with Andzejs Lebedevs. Thomsen appeared to be the victim of some reckless turning from Lebedevs, and the TNT Sports commentary team agreed that the rider had been hard done by.

There was a moment of controversy during Heat 12 of the FIM Speedway GP of Poland in Gorzow as Anders Thomsen was disqualified despite being forced off his bike by Andzejs Lebedevs.
The pair were battling it out for second place until Lebedevs drifted across Thomsen, sending his rival straight into the barriers.
Despite seemingly not being at fault for the flashpoint, Thomsen was the rider who was disqualified after the heat was stopped.
The Dane was not happy with the decision, and immediately got on the phone to the referee to make his feelings clear.
The flashpoint left the TNT Sports commentary team stunned.
"Oh I can't believe it, I genuinely can't believe that decision," said one commentator. "That is a stunning decision.

"I'm sorry, I can't agree with that one. Anders Thomsen has been disqualified, and I am shocked at that one.
"Andzejs Lebedevs appeared to take Anders Thomsen completely off his bike.
"Anders looks a little bit confused himself, but wow, that is my response to that."
Thomsen cut a frustrated figure and could be heard debating with the referee on the phone before slamming it down on camera.
"I think we just heard a mistake there," added another TNT Sports commentator.

"I mean the argument could be made that Anders turned in ever so slightly early, but he was in front, he had every right to take whichever line he wanted.
"Lebedevs is the one that really needed to alter course.
"Ultimately, at the end of the day he has knocked him off."
