At only 18 years old, British snowboarder Mia Brookes has impressed once again as she took her second consecutive Crystal Globe in big air. Becoming snowboarding's youngest ever world champion in 2023 at the age of only 16, and being too young to compete in the 2022 Winter Olympics, Brookes is certainly a name to keep an eye out for with under a year to go until Milano Cortina 2026.

British snowboarder Mia Brookes has won the big air Crystal Globe for the second consecutive year.
The 18-year-old wrapped up the title despite not taking part in the last competition of the 2024/25 season in Aspen, having previously taken big air victories in Beijing and Klagenfurt.
Brookes ended up taking the win with 305 points, tying with Japan's Mari Fukada, but her victories gave her the upper hand.
Commenting on her victory, Brookes said: "I thought maybe [I’d finish] second if I was lucky, but definitely not a win.
"It’s really special when you’ve worked so hard over the season."
In 2023, Brookes became the youngest world champion in snowboarding history after winning the slopestyle at the world championships.
Brookes continues to impress as she sets her sights on replicating her winning style in Milano Cortina 2026, with now under a year to go before the Winter Olympics begin.
