Xu Si and Pang Junxu reach Championship League final group as Jack Lisowski suffers exit

Xu Si and Pang Junxu booked their spots in the final group phase of the Championship League at Leicester's Mattioli Arena on Saturday. Four of the final eight places at the season's first ranking event are now known after Joe O'Connor and Stephen Maguire topped their respective groups on Friday. The winner will earn £33,000 and a place in the Champion of Champions event in November.

The first four spots in the Championship League winners' group have been settled with Xu Si and Pang Junxu joining Stephen Maguire and Joe O'Connor in the final eight of the season's first ranking event.
Pang won Group C boosted by two 3-1 wins over Alfie Burden and Lei Peifan with a 3-0 loss to Robbie Williams ultimately proving immaterial as he finished two points clear of Burden.
The highlight of Pang's day were breaks of 109 and 132 against world seniors champion Burden.
Xu Si finished his day undefeated in topping Group D courtesy of wins over David Lilley (3-0) and Artemijs Zizins (3-0), aided by 102, with a 2-2 draw against Jack Lisowski enough to see him through on seven points, three ahead of Lilley.
Joe O'Connor topped Group A on Friday with wins over Ng On Yee (3-0), Haydon Pinhey (3-1) and Elliot Slessor (3-1).
He was joined in the final stages by Group B winner Stephen Maguire, who defeated Zhang Anda 3-1 after drawing 2-2 with Yuan Sijun and overcoming Thepchaiya Un-Nooh 3-1.

The Championship League runs between June 30 and July 23, with 32 groups of four producing 32 winners, who are then split into eight groups of four.
Two final groups of four will determine who contests the final on Wednesday, with the winner earning £33,000 and a place in the Champion of Champions event in Leicester in November.
Former world champion Stuart Bingham takes to the table on Monday to face Dylan Emery, Matthew Selt and Liam Davies in Group F.
