World No. 1 Judd Trump extends record lead at top of rankings as Neil Robertson clings to top-16 spot

Judd Trump continues to enjoy a run of remarkable consistency to extend his lead at the top of the world rankings. The 29-time ranking event winner lost 6-2 to Si Jiahui in the last four of the Wuhan Open on Friday, but extends his lead of over 500,000 points over world champion Kyren Wilson at the summit. Trump has so far lifted the invitational Shanghai Masters and Saudi Arabia Masters.

Judd Trump continues to hold a huge lead at the top of the world snooker rankings despite relinquishing his Wuhan Open title over the weekend.
The world No. 1 lost 6-2 to Si Jiahui in the last four in Wuhan on Friday with Si producing the first 147 of his career and breaks of 144 and 108 after Trump opened the semi-final with a run of 109.
With another ÂŁ30,000 added to his total, Trump moves onto 1,521,200 points, a lead of 519,700 points over world champion Kyren Wilson, who lost to Wuhan Open winner Xiao Guodong 5-4 in the last 32.
Trump is also well placed to increase his lead over the rest of his nearest rivals with the end-of-season rankings giving him an advantage of 609,700 points over Wilson in second spot.
The Bristol professional has so far won the Shanghai Masters and Saudi Arabia Masters, reached the final of the Xi'an Grand Prix, the semi-finals in Wuhan and quarter-finals of the British Open and English Open in a remarkable display of consistency this season.
Meanwhile, Xiao moves up 11 places to a career high of 18th spot with his ÂŁ140,000 winner's cheque from his 10-7 final win over Si leaving him only 8,350 points short of former world champion and English Open champion Neil Robertson in 16th spot.

Elsewhere in the rankings, Tom Ford drops out of the top 16, with recent Crucible finalist Jak Jones back up to 15th spot.
Zhang Anda moves up to 10th ahead of the Northern Ireland Open in Belfast next week with Ali Carter in a 11th as Gary Wilson drops down two places.
The Northern Ireland Open begins on Sunday, October 20 and runs until Sunday, October 27 and is live on Eurosport and discovery+ with Trump defending the Alex Higgins Trophy as he chases a fifth title in Belfast.
