Davis ready for Murphy

And fellow veteran Davis will take inspiration from the 40-year-old's thrilling victory when he goes up against young gun Murphy in Thursday's evening match.
"I've played in a more exciting match, against John Higgins to win the British Open 9-8 (in 1996), but this is up there with the best matches I've won," said Bond after his 10-9 win on Wednesday.
"Steve Davis is still competing with the young kids at 48. I put myself up there when I'm on my game. I've struggled for a while, but I'm as good as anybody."
In Thursday's afternoon session, crowd favourite Jimmy White resumes play 6-3 down to fellow Londoner David Gray, while Stephen Lee kicks off the second round against Australia's Neil Robertson.
In the other evening match, young Welshman Ryan Day will be looking to book his place in the second round when he resumes play 7-2 up against Joe Perry.
