Robert Milkins had a minute or so to forget on Friday as he lost his cool in a big way during his World Snooker Championship second-round match against David Gilbert at the Crucible Theatre. The 48-year-old was trailing at the time and missed a pretty crucial and fairly simple red to the corner pocket, which led to him tossing his cue on the ground in anger with the crowd left stunned.

It was not a happy morning for Robert Milkins at the World Championship on Friday as he lost his composure after missing a straightforward pot in his second-round match against David Gilbert and proceeded to throw his cue on the floor in disgust.
He would go on to lose the match 13-4.
The Milkman was trailing by seven frames to four in the morning session at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield and was at the table leading 32-5 and needing to compile a strong break to shift the momentum of the match in his favour.
However, he missed a routine pot on a red to the corner pocket and could not hide his anger at the crucial mistake at what was a very important time in the encounter for him to stage a comeback.
What no one inside the iconic venue expected was his reaction to the miss.
Milkins began to walk away from the table, then suddenly tossed his cue on the ground, which made a loud noise and prompted an audible reaction of shock from the fans nearby.
The 48-year-old then sat down in his chair to attempt to gather himself, before eventually bending down to pick up his cue as Gilbert took to the table.
Neal Foulds, on commentary for Eurosport at the time, gave his reaction to the incident as soon as it happened.
"See, there is always something that can happen, and he is furious!" Foulds exclaimed.
"The cue is on the floor, which is not going to do it any good. It is not giving off good vibes that, is it?
"I tell you what, why he is so annoyed, and I'll tell you exactly why... he did not need to play that."
With his opponent racking up 67 points to take the frame and extend his lead, it only rubbed salt into the wound for Milkins.
