'How about this?' - Stuart Bingham shocked as he commits very unusual foul on black at UK Championship

Stuart Bingham found himself 5-4 down against Mark Williams in the UK Championships on Wednesday, meaning he had to win the frame to stay in the best-of-11. Unfortunately for the veteran player, he produced a very surprising break-off shot that gave his opponent one of the best advantages a player can receive in the sport – though it ultimately did not stop Bingham winning.

Stuart Bingham pulled off the rare and dreaded feat of potting the black from the break in his UK Championship match against Mark Williams.
With the score at 5-4 in Williams’ favour, Bingham had to win the frame to stay in with a chance of reaching the next round.
However, the veteran player managed to suffer one of the worst possible starts to a snooker frame.
Breaking off, he hit a red in the pack with a heavy touch, and instead of the white ball returning high up the table to challenge his opponent, the ball ricocheted off the side cushion.
The ball then travelled towards the black and guided it into the bottom-left pocket.
That was ruled a foul, and Williams was awarded seven points before he had even touched a ball.

The Eurosport commentator, Philip Studd, could hardly believe his eyes, exclaiming: "What a break-off that is! It's all happening! How about this?"
While some players might have been deflated by such a setback, Bingham kept his composure, and a break of 82 in the frame levelled the scores at 5-5 before he clinched a sixth frame.
Bingham will face Zhang Anda after qualifying for the next round at the Barbican.
