Kyren Wilson hits out at 'really poor' tables at UK Championship after Judd Trump loss - 'Something is going on'

World champion Kyren Wilson is the latest player to hit out at the conditions at the UK Championship. Earlier in the week, Judd Trump and Neil Robertson described the tables as "very bouncy, very heavy", and after losing to the former, Wilson asked organisers to ensure major competitions have "perfect conditions." In a statement, World Snooker said it "welcomes feedback from players."

World champion Kyren Wilson has called on organisers to improve conditions at major snooker tournaments after describing the tables at the UK Championship as "really, really poor."
Wilson crashed out in York at the semi-final stage following a 6-2 loss to Judd Trump, who will look to secure a second UK crown on Sunday, 13 years on from his first.
There had been concerns about playing conditions earlier in the week, with Trump and Neil Robertson complaining about the "very bouncy, very heavy" tables.
Seven-time world Ronnie O’Sullivan responded to the complaints, claiming the playing field is level for each professional.
World Snooker stressed that the table-fitting team "work to the highest standards, often through the night, to ensure the best possible playing conditions."
Saturday’s meeting between the world No. 1 and 2 failed to live up to its billing from the start, with the cue ball needing to be replaced by referee Rob Spencer before a ball was struck.
Wilson may reflect on a missed routine pot with the rest in the fourth frame as a pivotal moment, as Trump advanced despite not being at his best.

"I don’t like to drop anyone in it, but for me, you’ve got to be looking at the table fitters," said Wilson.
"The tables have been really, really poor all week. Every time I’ve played, the tables have been drifting to the right.
"When you lose faith in the table, you start to question your technique, you’re wondering if you’re putting a bit of side on the ball.
"If World Snooker want to have these great matches, these great rivalries, they need to be looking at the conditions a little bit more.
"Something is going on. Whether the floor’s not quite level. Something needs looking at.
"Because unfortunately the fans aren’t going to get value for money.
"I’ve been calling it even from working in the BBC studio this week. It’s not as if I’m sulking and saying it after a loss.
"It’s disappointing but I’d love these majors to have perfect conditions – because then you’re going to get the best snooker."

Trump was also unhappy about the conditions, even if he felt the tables were an improvement from earlier rounds.
"It was tricky. There was a black I played in one of the frames towards the end and it rolled off quite a lot," said Trump, who last won the UK Championship in 2011.
"It’s difficult – the conditions outside affect it. I don’t have too many moans about the table – certainly a lot better now than the start of the week."
A WST spokesperson said, per The Sun: "Our table-fitting team work to the highest standards, often through the night, to ensure the best possible playing conditions.
"However, they can only respond to the issues which get reported by players. Only two condition report sheets have been submitted this week.
"We always welcome feedback from players and encourage them to engage with us to make sure that table conditions are as good as they can be."
