Zhao Xintong blitzed Barry Hawkins 6-1 to reach the final of the UK Championship.

The rising Chinese star has been threatening to make the breakthrough for some time, and is now one win away from a Triple Crown title after he overwhelmed his experienced opponent. Virtually every time Hawkins erred - and there were too many mistakes for comfort for the 42-year-old - Zhao stepped in to punish in ruthless fashion, and he will face Luca Brecel in the final on Sunday.

Brecel produced some blistering snooker to book his place in his first Triple Crown final with a 6-4 victory over Kyren Wilson. After bursting onto the scene with victory at the China Championship in 2017, he fell off the radar after losing his cue and suffering a shoulder injury.
