Dominic Dale came from 44-9 down to beat Shaun Murphy at the Snooker Shoot Out. Murphy made a maximum 147 break on Thursday, but was ousted from the tournament by Dale, who won 46-44. There were mixed fortunes for two teenagers as 13-year-old Shaun Liu was beaten by Dean Young, 17-year-old Stan Moody made a break of 90 to beat Ian Burns and Mark Allen produced an easy win over Oliver Brown.

Shaun Murphy bowed out of the 2023 Shoot Out less than 24 hours after making the first 147 in tournament history.
Murphy made one of the greatest maximums of all time in his win over Bulcsu Revesz on Thursday, but he could not find the same magic as he opened play on Friday against Dominic Dale.
'The Magician' looked in a good position to win the single-frame match at 44-9 ahead and with just over three minutes remaining.
However, after running out of position his safety shot left Dale with a long red and he potted it into the corner.
Dale moved 46-44 ahead before playing safe on the final red.
Murphy could not score further and Dale booked his place in the next round.
Dale said: “Shaun was cuing so beautiful but the table is so fast he ran out of position a few times and fortunately for me he missed.
“I had that one half chance and I don’t know how it went in but it did.”
Mark Allen is also through to the next round, producing an emphatic 69-1 win over Oliver Brown.
Brown avoided a whitewash but he never had the opportunity to get time on the table.
The second match of the day saw 13-year-old Shaun Liu beaten by Dean Young.
Liu, who became the youngest winner of a televised snooker match this week, led 20-0 before fouling.
Young took his chance and won the frame 41-28.

Elliot Slessor beat Oliver Sykes 42-16 before 17-year-old Stan Moody made a break of 90 to beat Ian Burns.
“I played very well, a lot better than yesterday,” said Moody.
“I wasn’t as nervous and it showed today and I enjoyed it. I thought I played a very good frame and hopefully it’s the same for the next one.”
Meanwhile, Si Jiahui won 72-9 against Jordan Brown and Ali Carter edged out Alfie Burden 16-6.
Thepchaiya Un-Nooh beat Matthew Stevens 78-0 to reach the next round.
Liam Pullen beat Jamie O'Neill 120-1 before Liam Davies beat Louis Heathcote 57-42. David Lilley did enough to get through after overcoming Jack Borwick 54-25.
Kyren Wilson, while wearing an oven glove on his left hand, beat Egypt's Mostafa Dorgham 71-14 with a break of 64 securing the win in the final match of the afternoon session.
