Jimmy White is set to welcome in the festive period with a whirlwind clash at the Shoot Out against Thai speed merchant Thepchaiya Un-Nooh in Leicester next month.
The draw for the manic 128-player ranking event, live on Eurosport and discovery+ from December 4-7, paired the six-time world finalist with 2019 Shoot Out winner Un-Nooh in one of the highlights of the opening day.
“There are a lot of players who have a good opportunity to play under the lights and against the pros," said White, who has participated in every Shoot Out since the event was re-launched in 2011 after a 21-year absence.
“It’s a great tournament all-round, and a good one for people who are struggling for ranking points. Go deep here and you get a lot, and it’s a good bit of fun.”
Defending champion Mark Allen begins his campaign against Scottish potter Ross Muir in his tournament opener on Wednesday, December 4.
Scottish and Welsh Open champion Gary Wilson is up against 12-time women's world champion Reanne Evans.

Four-time world champion Mark Selby takes to the baize for a first-round match with 2023 women's world champion Baipat Siripaporn on Thursday, December 5.
Shaun Murphy, the 2005 Crucible winner who made a historic maiden 147 in last year's competition, is set to confront Barry Hawkins.
Elsewhere, two-time world finalist Ali Carter faces former Shoot Out winner Chris Wakelin in a top-16 encounter.
Neil Robertson battles Simon Blackwell upon his return to the unique magic and mayhem of the quickfire tournament.
It will be the first time the Melbourne man has participated since 2011, when he lost to Marcus Campbell in the quarter-finals at the Circus Arena in Blackpool.
The rapid nature of the matches and its recent elevated status as a ranking event has not always been endorsed by Robertson.
The Shoot Out has been a ranking event since 2017, with each frame lasting 10 minutes and a shot clock in effect that sees players limited to 15 seconds a shot for the first five minutes of frames, and 10 seconds for the second five minutes.
Each round is a random draw with the last 64 being staged on Friday, December 6, before the last 32 fight for the trophy and first prize of £50,000 on Saturday, December 7.
Allen claimed the title in Swansea last year with a 65-4 final win over Cao Yupeng.
