Shaun Murphy said Chang Bingyu's performance against him at the Welsh Open was "as good as anything I’ve ever witnessed in my 35 years playing snooker".
Chang was absolutely scintillating as he knocked in four centuries in a 4-0 win over Murphy at the Welsh Open, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Murphy potted just one red in the match, as Chang racked up 515 points against one.
Chang finished with a 100% shot success, in what will go down as one of the great displays in a best-of-seven match.
"That was as good as anything I’ve ever witnessed in my 35 years playing snooker," Murphy exclusively told TNT Sports.
"I’ve always said that if your opponent doesn’t miss, you can’t win, and today I was proved right. That’s what makes snooker a unique sport. There’s no right of reply."

Murphy also showed the result hadn't taken away his sense of humour, adding: "The one pot I did make was a corker."
Chang, 23, reached the Scottish Open final just before Christmas, where he lost to Chris Wakelin in the final.
At his best, he's clearly a dream to watch, and it may well be that his first ranking success isn't too far away.
Murphy has been arguably the standout player in snooker over the last 18 months. The Englishman said world champion Zhao Xintong was "unplayable" when knocking him out of the Players Championship in Telford last week.
Now came an even better performance against him, one Murphy was full of praise for.
"If that was Ronnie O’Sullivan or Judd Trump it would be on the news," Murphy told the BBC. "I’ve got nothing but good things to say. What a performance. What a player.

"Did I have 10 shots in the match? I’m not sure. Two of them were break-offs, one long red. I love coming to Llandudno, but it has been a very short trip.
"A defeat like today, I wouldn’t say it’s easy to take, but it’s easier because there was only one man playing."
Chang himself said after the match that it was the best showing of his career: "Today it’s really incredible, I’ve never played so well in a match. It’s a performance that exceeded my expectations.
"I really didn’t expect to beat him, but after a few shots in the first frame I calmed down a bit and found my form.
"I think I’ve exceeded my expectations today, but it’s just one performance, there’s still a gap between me and the top players."
David Grace, who beat Mark Allen in Llandudno on Monday, posted on X: "We’ve all come off and said ‘he didn’t miss a ball'. That’s the first time it’s ever actually happened."
In the other Welsh Open match played on Tuesday morning, Xiao Guodong edged to a 4-3 win over Long Zehuang.
