The 2025 Shanghai Masters is on the horizon with the likes of world champion Zhao Xintong, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump all scheduled to take to the Luwan Gymnasium.
The tournament, first held in 2007, has become a favourite on the snooker calendar, with O'Sullivan having racked up a record five Shanghai titles. 
But The Rocket’s dominance at the invitational, which he won four times in a row, came to an end last year, when Trump beat Shaun Murphy 11-5 in the final.

When is the Shanghai Masters?

The 2025 Shanghai Masters will run from Monday, July 28 to Sunday, August 3 and feature the world’s top 16.
They will be joined by the next four highest-ranked Chinese players, as well as four wild cards from China.

Who is playing at the Shanghai Masters?

Last year's champion Trump will take on either Neil Robertson or Pang Junxu in his opening encounter. 
Meanwhile, Zhao will play his first-ever match as reigning world champion against either Chris Wakelin or a wild card. 
O'Sullivan will be up against one of Barry Hawkins or Wu Yize, with the winner of that match set to take on world No. 2 Kyren Wilson in the quarter-finals, should the latter get past the winner between Si Jiahui and a wild card.
