Shanghai Masters 2025 final LIVE - Kyren Wilson and Ali Carter share the first four frames in a battle of the former champions

He also reeled off the last four frames from 8-6 adrift against Mark Selby, who he defeated 10-8.

A wonderfully constructed break of 86 sees the Captain level things up once more.

Carter has opened that cluster of reds beautifully, and the frame is now at his mercy...

The two players have met 17 times in professional competition, though this is only their sixth encounter outside the Championship League.

Wilson has won each of the three most recent such showdowns.

Not quite the century, but a swift break of 96 is more than enough to put the 2024 world champion in front.

Things go a bit scrappy early in this third frame, until Carter's ambitious attempt at a long plant leaves Wilson with a sitter over the right corner.

What can the Warrior make of this?

That was Wilson's highest break of the week, and his seventh ton in all.

Only Xiao Guodong has hit more during this event, with eight.

A magnificent break of 129 will do very nicely for the 2015 champion, who is all square in this final.

The Warrior has a decent chance to immediately respond.

He needs to develop some more reds, though, in order to win this frame in one visit.

The Warrior's attempt does not last long as he misses a black.

Carter doubles a red and clears with 35 to dot the I's and cross the T's in this first frame.

The break ends at 68, though you imagine that will be enough for Carter.

Wilson plays on in a bid for a snooker, but the opening frame should be in the bag.

The Captain is looking sharp early on, as he tries to capitalise on a loose shot by the Warrior.

One of these players will become only the third multiple winner of this event, which was first played in 2007, after Ronnie O'Sullivan and Ding Junhui.

Carter lifted the trophy back in 2010, while Wilson made his big breakthrough when he triumphed in Shanghai five years later.
