Riyadh Season is back with another snooker event, and reigning champion Ronnie O'Sullivan will be competing to retain the Saudi Arabian Snooker Championship invitational event. The top 10 and two wild cards will compete for the £250,000 prize money, with an even bigger jackpot available this time around for any player able to make a 167 maximum using the feted 'Golden Ball'.

After the Scottish Open, attention turns to the Riyadh Season Snooker Championship invitational event, featuring Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, and more.
The top 10 players from the world standings, along with two wildcards, will scrap for the next three days - from December 18-20 - to decide.
Saudi Arabia has turned its attention to snooker as well as tennis and boxing - with Riyadh due to host Oleksandr Usyk v Tyson Fury on December 21, live on TNT Sports Box Office - and has already welcomed the sport’s top stars for events such as the 2024 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters earlier this year.
The winner can pick up £250,000, but there is also the chance to strike an even bigger jackpot if they score a maximum of 167 by using the 'Golden Ball'.
If a player scores a 147 break, the 'Golden Ball' - worth 20 points - is available to be potted. Each frame starts with the 'Golden Ball' on the baulk cushion, in line with the brown ball. The ball is removed if a maximum break is no longer possible.
$1 million (£792,000) is awarded to any player who scores a 167 maximum.
O’Sullivan won the inaugural championship in March this year, when it was known as the World Masters of Snooker.
