Following hot on the heels of Judd Trump and Kyren Wilson's clash in the final of the Northern Ireland Open, the World Snooker Tour heads to Nanjing for the International Championship, the season's eighth ranking event.
The tournament was previously hosted in Chengdu, then in Daqing. Following a Covid-19-induced hiatus, the tournament returned to the calendar in 2023 and in Tianjin City.
China's Zhang Anda beat Tom Ford 10-6 in the final to claim the revived tournament title.
WST chair Steve Dawson believes that China is vital to the future of the tour and thus is very keen to see this tournament thrive.
Speaking to WST television, he said: "We were delighted to see this massive tournament back on the calendar.
"It is hugely significant for the sport to be returning to China and the International Championship has always been one of the most significant fixtures in the World Snooker Tour season."
