The World Snooker Championship has established itself as one of the great events in sport.
The annual 17-day marathon at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre - live on TNT Sports and discovery+ - has given snooker fans everywhere decades of wonderful memories.
From Alex Higgins crying for his baby in the early 1980s to the black ball final between Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor, and more recently, a jubilant Ronnie O'Sullivan embracing Judd Trump, it is a tournament that always throws up indelible images.
Kyren Wilson is the current champion, but he has fallen victim to the infamous 'Crucible Curse', while O'Sullivan - who has been out of action for long periods this season - was eliminated at the semi-final stage by Zhao Xintong with a session to spare.

The World Championship began on Saturday, April 19, with the blockbuster best-of-35 frames final to be played across two days on Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5.

World No. 2 Kyren Wilson started his title defence on the opening day of the tournament against Scottish Open winner Lei Peifan, but became the first of many shocks.

What is the World Championship schedule?

First-round action began on April 19, with the best-of-19 matches played across the first six days of the tournament until April 24.
The second round was played over five days - with matches best-of-25 frames - from April 24 to April 28.
The quarter-finals, again best-of-25 matches, took place over two days on April 29 and April 30.
The semi-finals are marathon best-of-33-frame affairs and were played over three days from May 1 to May 3.
The showpiece final, which is a best-of-35, takes place on May 4 and May 5.
