Judd Trump booked his place in a German Masters final showdown with Shaun Murphy following an impressive 6-2 victory over Ali Carter.
The tournament favourite remains on course to win the title for the fourth time and continued his imposing form in Berlin.
Trump started strongly with an excellent early plant but Carter threatened to generate some momentum with a 37 break. Trump responded, though, potting the yellow, green, brown and blue to take the first frame.
The second frame was more comfortable for the world No. 1, who capitalised on a mistake from his opponent to rack up 79 and extend his lead.
Carter again made a promising start to the third but his progress was halted by a miss on a seemingly easy red, allowing Trump to come to the table. Both players missed more potential pots, and both made their opponent work for opportunities, but it was Trump who came out on top once more to lead 3-0.
It was looking increasingly dire for Carter, who needed something to swing the momentum in his direction. He did not get that in the fourth frame, though. Instead, Trump hit a break of 87 to further assert his dominance.

The interval came at a good time for The Captain, who gathered himself and returned with more focus, finally potting with some consistency to take the next frame.
And it was soon 4-2 as Carter produced a dominant frame to give Trump something to think about.
Any hope of a miraculous comeback was growing slim after Trump steadied himself and took the following frame, emphatically potting the yellow before a lovely shot on the green.
And the final frame was a routine one for The Ace, who again took advantage of an open table to pull away from Carter.
"It's been a good tournament so far and I think I've played solid throughout," Trump said. "The crowd are unbelievable. It's nice to beat a top player like Ali."
Asked about the prospect of facing Murphy, with the final live on TNT Sports and discovery+, Trump added: "I have a plan to win."

Murphy eases to victory over Robertson
Murphy said he was "delighted" after a dominant 6-1 victory over Neil Robertson sent him through to the German Masters final.
Three early centuries set the tone for The Magician, who proved too clinical for his opponent.
After a tense start in Berlin, with both playing safety shots, Murphy took control with an opening-frame century break.
Robertson responded instantly, though, gaining some momentum and finding his feet in a tactical second frame. Some decisive potting from The Thunder from Down Under saw him level the scores.
But that was as good as it got for Robertson, who watched on as Murphy got his second century in the third frame to regain the lead.

Robertson was unusually wayward, making fouls and missing opportunities, and Murphy continued to take advantage, producing yet another century break in the fourth frame to go 3-1 up.
A spectacular start to the match had given the Englishman a solid foundation and he built on that in a more competitive, less stylish fifth frame to further extend his lead.
There would be no more centuries for Murphy but he was clearly superior, even as Robertson spent more time at the table.
The final two frames were fairly routine for The Magician, though he benefited from a remarkable fluke in the penultimate frame.
Robertson, meanwhile, could point to some misfortune, but he was well-beaten by a player in formidable form heading into Sunday's final.
"It was probably a match of two halves: the first was all century breaks and towards the end it got a bit scrappier I suppose," Murphy said in his post-match interview.
"I thought I had a lot of good luck at the right moments. There were shots where I was very lucky: the long red in the corner pocket.
"But I'm delighted with the way I played. Neil and I have had so many great matches, and I'm sure we'll have many more.

"I always try hard, I always try to give the crowd a great show, and this week's been another great week for me in Berlin. I'm very pleased.
"I wish I knew what the secret was. I just hope that I can continue this form that I've brought with me into tomorrow's match, because it all means nothing if you don't bring the trophy home."
