The events continue to come thick and fast on the World Snooker Tour, with some of the sport's biggest names next in action at the Scottish Open.
Lei Peifan sealed a memorable victory 12 months ago by beating Wu Yize in the final, but he will have to overcome some stern challenges if he wants to hang onto the trophy for another year.
Among the contenders is world champion Zhao Xintong, who will be eager to bounce back after his disappointing early exit at the UK Championship.
The victor of the first Triple Crown event of the season in York, Mark Selby, is also set to feature in Edinburgh and will rightly start as one of the big tournament favourites.
Elsewhere, there are three Scots in the field flying the flag for the home hopes. The ageless John Higgins is among them, while Stephen Maguire and Anthony McGill will also have their sights set on a dream home triumph.
