Mark Allen has admitted it can be "frustrating" to watch Jack Lisowski, but has backed him to realise his potential once he breaks his title duck.
Lisowski has been beaten in six ranking finals, and he will have to wait until at least 2025 to get his hands on a trophy after losing to Allen in the third round of the Scottish Open.
It was Allen’s sixth win in a row against Lisowski, aside from a loss to 'Jackpot' at the Shoot Out in 2023.
"It is frustrating at times watching him," Allen told Eurosport’s Alan McManus.
"Obviously, it is great when he is doing that when you are playing against him.
"But as someone who really enjoys watching Jack play, you would love to know what is going on his head as he plays some unbelievable snooker, looks great, and then misses one in the balls that you don’t expect at all.
"I would need to know what he is thinking. His technique looks perfect, so you wonder what goes wrong. You just wonder what he is thinking and is he thinking the correct things?

"I think it is one of them things that once he breaks that duck, he will be off and running."
Lisowski had the chance to claim the win in the deciding frame, but paid the price for missing a tough red.
Allen feels it was a shot Lisowski should have taken more time on, and was one played in frustration after seeing a split of the pack not go to plan.

"I don’t know the angle from my seat," Allen said of Lisowski’s miss to the right middle. "But it looked like he could have given it a bit more time.
"He was disappointed not to get on an easier shot after potting the blue and splitting the reds.
"But sometimes you have to give yourself a few seconds and don’t beat yourself up for that one shot. He just seemed to play it a bit fast."
