Jack Lisowski conceded his Scottish Open encounter with Mark Allen on Thursday in a bizarre manner.
World No. 5 Allen edged out Lisowski 4-3 on Thursday to reach the quarter-finals in Edinburgh, despite having twice trailed in the match.
Lisowski, who had been in need of snooker, conceded the seventh frame in eccentric fashion after failing to pot a red.
The 2019 finalist picked up the green and rolled it into the pocket, inciting laughter and smatterings of applause from the Scottish Open crowd.
The incident was reminicent of another bizzare concession earlier this season when Jimmy White abruptly left the arena to concede a frame during the Northern Ireland Open.

Lisowski claimed a 1-0 lead with a break of 106, only for his opponent to draw level with a 78 in the next frame.
The 33-year-old English player then reclaimed the lead, but a run of 112 helped Allen level proceedings.
Allen then took a brief 3-2 advantage, only for Lisowski to restore parity through an 80 break.
But Allen went on to win the decisive frame with a break of 68, to book a quarter-final spot against Thailand's Noppon Saengkham.
Elsewhere, Luca Brecel beat International Championship winner Ding Junhui 4-3 in match that produced an astonishing of a kind escape from the 2023 world champion, while Xiao Guodong put together four breaks over 80 in his 4-1 win over Scottish player Stephen Maguire.
Meanwhile, Wu Yize beat UK championship finalist Barry Hawkins 4-3 and Chris Wakelin dispatched Xing Zihao 4-1.
Furthermore, Tom Ford was a 4-1 winner over Long Zehuang and Lei Peifan was a 4-3 victor over Stuart Bingham.
