Marcus Wyatt became the third British man to bag European skeleton gold with an excellent run in Sigulda.
Wyatt followed in the footsteps of Kristan Bromley and Matt Weston in flying the union flag on the top step.
The event in Latvia doubled up as both a World Cup and European Championship race, with Wyatt finishing second overall, keeping him as the European leader.
China's Yin Zheng finished first in 1:40.82, 0.18s ahead of Wyatt, to win the World Cup race while Weston - the defending European champion - finished third on the day to secure a European silver.
Germany's Felix Keisinger prevented it from being an all-British European podium, finishing as the third European - and sixth overall - a fraction ahead of GB's Jacob Salisbury.
Olympic Champion Christopher Grotheer of Germany came home in ninth, but was able to defend his lead in the overall standings with 1196 points. Weston is second overall on 1131 points after the sixth of eight races.
