RAMOS SNATCHES SIX NATIONS GLORY FOR FRANCE WITH LAST SECOND KICK
Thomas Ramos' last-gasp penalty saw France snatch Six Nations glory from under Ireland's noses, sealing a dramatic 48-46 victory over England.
Les Blues claimed their record-breaking eighth championship in Paris, after coming out on top in an epic clash at Stade de France.
Both sides made a positive start with Louis Bielle-Biarrey crossing twice as France surged into a 14-5 lead.
But England, for whom Tom Roebuck had crossed earlier on, responded as Cadan Murley and Ollie Chessum went over, before Alex Coles completed the turnaround, helping them go 27-17 to the good.
A penalty try just before half-time saw Ellis Genge sent to the bin and France capitalised on their numerical advantage straight after the break, with Bielle-Biarrey and Theo Attissogbe going over.
However, Chessum intercepted Matthieu Jalibert's offload to surge half the pitch and keep England in contention, before Marcus Smith put the visitors back in front.
Bielle-Biarrey scored his fourth try to put the hosts ahead with 15 minutes remaining, but the sin-binning of Demba Bamba enabled Tommy Freeman to restore England's advantage four minutes from time.
France launched one final surge and were awarded a penalty just inside their opponents' half, with Ramos successfully kicking the winning points.

C'EST MAGNIFIQUE FOR LES BLEUS
France are the Six Nations champions for a record-breaking eighth time, following the most dramatic of victories over England.
Following Ireland's victory over Scotland earlier on Saturday, the scenario was perfectly clear for Les Blues: win, and the title would be theirs.
All appeared to be going to plan when they surged into a 14-5 lead inside the opening quarter of an hour.
But England had not read the script, recovering to go 27-17 to the good as they finally managed to produce the rugby they had been lacking in recent weeks.
The thrilling finale swung this way and that, with a real seesaw battle developing in the second half, as the lead frequently changed hands.
With Bamba sent to the sin bin inside the final seven minutes, it looked like England had punished them when Freeman went over to edge them back ahead at 46-45.
Yet the discipline that has hampered Borthwick's side throughout this championship came back to bite them once more, as France were awarded a last-gasp penalty.
Ramos, who had been perfect off the tee, showed nerves of steel to deliver the kick that completed a successful title defence for his country.
