Steve Borthwick names uncapped Noah Caluori and Jack Kenningham in England squad ahead of 'fiercely competitive' Quilter Nations Series

The countdown to the Quilter Nations Series hastened with the announcement of Steve Borthwick's 36-player squad for the competition. England will play Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and Argentina, with their first match taking place on November 1 against The Wallabies. The uncapped duo of Noah Caluori and Jack Kenningham are among the headline inclusions.

England have named their squad for the upcoming Quilter Nations Series, and the inclusion of uncapped Noah Caluori is the biggest talking point.
The 19-year-old earned a call-up to England's training camp last week following an outstanding display in his first Gallagher PREM start for Saracens, when he scored five tries against Sale Sharks.
Steve Borthwick's men play their first match against Australia at Allianz Stadium on November 1, with the series shown live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Sale duo Tom Curry and Raffi Quirke return to the squad following their respective injury problems, but Leicester forward Emeka Ilione will not be involved due to a shoulder issue.
Quirke will be hoping to make up for lost time after being plagued by a series of injuries, while Curry has now recovered following surgery on a wrist ligament injury.
Jack Kenningham is the other uncapped player included, with the Harlequins flanker adding to Borthwick's forward options.
Meanwhile, there is no place in the squad for former captain Owen Farrell.
Borthwick said: "Selecting this squad is an exciting step in our preparations for the Quilter Nations Series, and we look forward to working with the players again in the coming weeks," said Borthwick.
"Our focus is on making the most of the time we have together as we approach what will be a fiercely competitive series.
"Facing Australia in the opening match will be a great test against a team that has been training and playing together for some time and is one of the in-form teams in the world."
The 36-player squad comprises 19 forwards and 17 backs, which are due to meet at England’s performance centre at Pennyhill Park this evening.
