Northampton Saints defeated Saracens 22-20 on Friday night in their Premiership Rugby play-off semi-final, booking them a spot in next week's final. Speaking to TNT Sports after their tight win, Courtney Lawes of Northampton said that victory would not mean anything if he and his team-mates did not go on to lift the trophy in a season where they topped the table.

Departing Northampton flanker Courtney Lawes told TNT Sports that “we showed what we can do” in a 22-20 win over Saracens on Friday night.
The win puts the Saints into the final for the Gallagher Premiership after they had already topped the table in the regular season.
For Lawes it represents the penultimate time he will represent the club. After 17 seasons, the 35-year-old former England international will be moving on to French side CA Brive.
The two-point margin of victory led to Lawes acknowledging that his team had not been at their peak, and turned his focus to next week’s final.
He said: "We weren't at our best but to still find a way to win is great but this performance doesn't mean anything if we don't turn up next week.
"We should be expecting to win games like this and we proved we can over the season.
"We really targeted the scrum, they messed around a few times but when we got them to actually scrum, we showed what we can do."

Northampton scrum-half Alex Mitchell also told TNT Sports that the manner of victory was not to his liking.
"We made it way too tight at the end there but we got the job done,” he began.
"We had a few chances that we butchered and whoever we now play we'll have to dig in.
"It's been a long time coming and I've always wanted to play in a final at Twickenham."
