Fixtures for the 2024/25 Premiership Women’s Rugby season have been confirmed as anticipation ramps up ahead of the new campaign.
Once again, TNT Sports will bring you live coverage and highlights as nine teams compete for a spot in the final in March 2025 and a chance to be crowned champions.
The season begins with a triple-header on October 5, with Saracens taking on Trailfinders at 2pm at the StoneX Stadium to kick things off.
Two matches are then scheduled for 3pm as Harlequins welcome Exeter Chiefs to the Twickenham Stoop and Loughborough Lightning face last year’s runners-up Bristol Bears at Franklin’s Gardens.
Gloucester-Hartpury are the back-to-back defending champions and will begin their quest for three titles in a row on October 6 against Leicester Tigers, live on TNT Sports.
Not only will the two sides be looking to get off to a strong start and establish early momentum, but they will also be playing for The Slater Cup in honour of Ed Slater, the former men’s captain of both clubs who is suffering from Motor Neurone Disease.
“It’s a very meaningful fixture for the whole of Gloucester and it’s something the girls and the lads will really get behind,” said Gloucester-Hartpury coach Andrew Ford.
“Ed is a fantastic character and the way that Gloucester gets around something like this it really brings us together.
“We really want to grow our attendances this year and want to help make sure that people come down and watch because we think we play an exciting brand of rugby and everyone who comes to watch us always says how much they have enjoyed it, whether it’s their first time or their 20th time.”

Given there is an odd number of teams, Sale Sharks have a bye for the first round of fixtures.
Round two will feature some equally enthralling encounters. Harlequins will enjoy home advantage for the second game in a row when they meet Gloucester-Hartpury on Saturday, October 12 before the evening game between Sale Sharks and Saracens.
TNT Sports will present live coverage of Trailfinders Women v Loughborough Lightning on Sunday, October 13, while Leicester Tigers travel to Sandy Park for a clash with Exeter Chiefs.
The following weekend is another big one on the PWR calendar with Bristol Bears and Saracens going toe-to-toe at Ashton Gate in a double-header with the men’s teams and Bears Head Coach Dave Ward is relishing the prospect already.
Ward said: “We’d love to be [playing at Ashton Gate more often]. We’re playing a double header with the men which is incredible. The men want to support us, and we want to support them.”

Ward took his Bears to the PWR Final in 2024 and expects it to be a compelling season, adding: “It’s going to be the most competitive season, I know everyone says that each year, but you see the signings that teams are making, Harlequins, Loughborough Lightning and others.
“There’s going to be six or seven teams right up there pushing for that top four and that’s what we want as a league, as head coaches.
“We don’t want to look down the list and predict the results every week. It’s going to be hugely competitive, hugely exciting we just want to make sure we hit the ground running and put our best foot forward come Loughborough away for the first game of the season.”
