Gloucester-Hartpury put on another show as they maintained their 100% start to the Allianz Premiership Women's season. The Circus scored seven tries as they battered Sale Sharks 43-19. That means they picked up a crucial bonus point as they secured an 11th win from 11 matches in 2023/24. Head coach Sean Lynn described his side's performance as "very pleasing", while Sale stay bottom of the table.

‘Hat-trick time’ - Jones goes over for third try for Gloucester-Hartpury against Saracens

Defending Allianz Premiership Women's Rugby champions Gloucester-Hartpury maintained their 100% start to the season by hammering Sale Sharks 43-19.
Sean Lynn's side ran home five first-half tries en route to a commanding victory at Heywood Road.
It means they have a perfect record of 11 wins from 11 matches, leaving them comfortably in top spot ahead of Saracens.
The Circus got off to the perfect start, taking the lead within two minutes as Pip Hendy crossed the whitewash.
And although Georgie Perris-Redding responded quickly for Sale, the visitors had soon forged a commanding advantage as Kelsey Jones, Maud Muir, Sarah Beckett and Siobhan McCarthy all scored before the break.
That meant they were 29-7 in front, a lead that grew after half-time through a try from Gwen Crabb.
The Sharks did see Eti Haungatau and Hollie Bawden score as they tried to claw their way back into the game, but those tries came either side of an acrobatic finish from Neve Jones.
"It was very pleasing," Lynn told the Gloucester-Hartbury website at full-time, as his side also picked up a crucial bonus point.
"From the game last week, there were a few things that we wanted to be working on, and what was really pleasing was that in that first 55 minutes, you could see everything that we'd been working on was coming into our game.
"We knew going into this week that it was a big three-week block. You're looking at Sale, Exeter and Harlequins.
"We've got Sale out of the way, and now it's moving on to Exeter, which should be an interesting one."
While Glouchester-Hartpury are top of the table, Sale sit in bottom spot and have won just one match all season.
This was their eighth successive victory, with their sole victory coming against Harlequins back in November.
