Holly Holm stuns Ronda Rousey with second-round knockout

Holly Holm delivered one of the biggest upsets in Ultimate Fighting Championship history to snatch Ronda Rousey’s bantamweight title with a second-round knockout in front of a bumper 56,000-strong crowd in Melbourne.

The American underdog, 34, sent an already wobbling Rousey to the canvas with a sweeping kick to the head, before pouncing upon her stricken opponent and forcing the referee to end the clash.
It improved Holm’s unbeaten record to 10-0, and ended Rousey’s own perfect card of 12 bouts without defeat.
"I had so much love and support. I thought, 'how could I not do this?'," Holm said afterwards.
"There was lots of blood, sweat and tears, but it sure was worth it. I'm trying to take this in, but this is crazy."
